FEEDBACK:
Hey Jessie,
Good work with the mind map! I found it kind of funny you included flaws in some of the design decisions which is good but could be placed under a different category potentially like it being a result of the intended price point. Mentions of potential easily damaged areas like scratches could be a subcategory under material/Plastic rather than just under material. So something like the material is plastic, it affords the product to be inexpensive, but also fragile and easily damageable. Durability could explore the tradeoffs of using less expensive manufacturing/mass production methods to create a product that ends up being less expensive to purchase, not easy to disassemble and to repair BUT because its not too expensive it can be easily replaced and the consumer may not care as much. Overall well done!
Flow line breakdown of the product looks good!
For the sketches these are looking really nice! Your perspective is quite strong along with your depiction of line quality which seems quite far along. I did a quick draw over of potential details to keep in mind for your mechanical arms (its a gif so you'll have to click on the image): things like breaking of lines for interior shape changes to prevent the forms from reading too much as hard edged geometric shapes, implying depth for some bolt holes, implying depth (using solid blacks when necessary) and general rounding of edges where appropriate. This is actually something we'll be doing in a later project in week 3 (i think) so don't do too many of these mechanical arms! Unless you want to get lots of practice!

The cars are looking good as well, their proportions are a little off with the relation of the windows to the lower section of the car and the top view which i assume is your imagination one is looking pretty good but its a bit too thin (but easily fixable in photoshop!) and the hood area is too stumpy. When doing these you'll want to analyze the reference and break it down into proportions: front hood area is 1/3 the length of the car etc. Great start! Keep it up!
